This is awesome info for the beginning stuffstuffer! Thank you for putting out this info as it might prove helpful for many. Nice pic! Have a great day.

So far I prefer the Euro, but I'm going to actually have to wait. I have a real world test on my deer hunt in November, then we'll see which performs the best.
Wednesday, July 31, 2013 11:38 AM
Congrats on the buck Tim!
4 test in less then a year wow. I am a long time life member of both the fishing and hunting clubs and I have enjoyed testing many fine products. But now with Stuffstuff it is even better. With a little work anyone can get to level 6. A lot of great "Stuff" at all levels anyway.
Monday, August 05, 2013 8:15 PM
Wow... impressive. I've done pretty much the same thing to get to level 6, I did get chosen for a product finally in Feb 2013 and haven't seen anything since... Wonder why some people get picked 4 times in a year and others only once?
Tuesday, August 06, 2013 1:48 PM
I have reviewed 3 products and the review does not show up or save when I click on the button. I feel like I am spinning my wheels here. How do you actually get credit for and or review products you have already used. I don't see any way to move up in point standings at the rate things are working for me. Getting frustrated.
Tuesday, August 06, 2013 8:39 PM
Congrats on the buck. Thanks for the tips, didn't realize I got points for liking products on Facebook. Have fun.
Wednesday, August 07, 2013 9:39 AM
William Brown, have you tried to email StuffStuff. You can email them at email@example.com and let them know about the issues you are having with your reviews not showing up. I hope this helps.
Wednesday, August 07, 2013 7:36 PM
I once received a product to test back in 2008 when I became a life member. it was a nice filet knife. that was it though! I hope this stuff stuff thing is for real. I cant seem to get more than 48 pt and don't understand how to get anymore.
Thursday, August 08, 2013 4:32 AM
Not getting point for facebook again> ????
Stuff Stuff team must be to invole with bloing to fix.
Friday, August 09, 2013 6:43 PM
Mark: Thanks! I grew up down the street from a Mark Davis.
Michael: I have been a member of StuffStuff since the Beta testing phase 2 years ago. StuffStuff officially opened in July of 2012 for the Hunting Club members and there were not a lot of members, so at the "Grand Opening" we were getting selected every couple of months. Now, with the addition of multiple clubs, there are over 150,000 members (I believe was the last count I saw) and growing every day. Also, it all depends on the products you apply for.
William: Once you do your review, it may take a little bit for the points to post as StuffStuff has to approve it first. Once approved, it will show up and points will be awarded. Also, typically the "verified" reviews show up first, then the newest non-"verified" after them. What this means is that if you were selected through StuffStuff to test the item, once your review is submitted, it shows up as S2 Verified. If you tested it on your own, it will not have the stamp from S2 on it.
Eldon: They are working on the problem and it should be fixed hopefully by Wednesday next week. The Blog and the IT people are actually different people, so they are unrelated.
Christopher: Go to the FAQs if you have further questions. Right now, the liking portion for points is not working properly, so they are trying to get the bugs out so it will give points.
Saturday, August 10, 2013 10:13 AM
why dont my points reflec the right amout for what my review was . i only seam to have be rewarded 5 point and there should have been more ?
Saturday, August 10, 2013 2:40 PM
Ronald: If you feel you did not receive the correct amount of points, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and they will help you. For a review, the amount of points you get are based on the level, quality of the review, and whether you included pictures or not. You will be rewarded between 3-6 points depending on level, according to the FAQs. Your Post Test Report is what basically gives you your points back after your test. Hope that helps! :)

Hi; That is a nice pic. I am from Iowa ,so we can not use high power rifles. Shot guns and hand gun are the gun that can be used. Yes ,I do use a .40 cal.for hunting deer. 2013 was a good year ,174 B&C .
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 9:03 AM
hey man how do i get to have a higher chance of getting to test items. een on the site since last month and still nothing and i have got 100 points already how long do i have to wait
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 12:52 PM
Great job on the deer, that is an excellent way to put your product to the test. I got to review the Echo chainsaw and will be putting it to the test even more than i already have this hunting season as i have a few trees to remove at our camping spot due to some wind damage!! I have had excellent luck with the website and any issues have been handled great by the stuffstuff staff, use the support tab, they are great about solving any issues. And getting points is as easy as he said, put your time in and you can increase them with ease.
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 1:10 PM
but how long do you have to wait till u get to start testing?????????????
Friday, August 16, 2013 10:22 AM
I became a lifetime member in May and trying earn points or receive the proper amount really makes question whether or not I have made an expensive and regretful investment....
Friday, August 16, 2013 10:45 PM
Nathan Reece, after joining StuffStuff last fall, I was selected to test a product within 1 - 2 months. My subsequent product tests assigned at approx. 4 month intervals. I'm sure other members receive more items. I have been less than diligent updating my product selections. I only updated selections 4 or 5 times and received 3 products in less than a year. As a lifetime member of Handyman Club for 15+ years, I tested 3 products in last 5-6 years.
For products I was selected to test, I received email notification 10 - 14 days after updating selections. Review your product selections often and include some of newest items available to test.

This is a great blog post you have very good information about this product thanks for your time.
Sunday, August 18, 2013 1:29 AM
Tim; I am a life and trophy member, I am on facebook, answered the interest questionnaire, member of NRA, tested a CRKT PAZODA knife, submitted my review after testing it for 4 months using it as my primary knife, I am an electrician and generally use a 3 blade stockman knife, and I am sorry I do not have the time to spend 30 minutes a day on stuffstuff working 56-64 hours a week. So where do I stand, where are all the products I am supposed to be testing?
Sunday, August 18, 2013 2:21 AM
If I understand correctly, you use the point system to purchase products and everything appears to be overpriced. I really feel all the propaganda is just a bunch of hype to get people to join NAHC just to find out unless you hunt, scout, place dozens of trail cameras, look for deer sign, scrapes, rubs, drop antlers, etc., 365 days a year, exaggeration, yes, you do not qualify as a serious hunter worthy of being a test subject. I have wrote before that the majority of hunters cannot devote that kind of time even for a sport they truly enjoy, love to be considered subjects to test hi or low end products...my case, it was only when I paid my $120.00 to be come a trophy member that I was given a knife to test and at that it has been over a month and I still have not heard anything about my evaluation nor have I been given another product to evaluate. I understand, first time, I do expect to be given a $1000.00 range finder to evaluate, but I think as time passes I should be upgraded over time as should all members of NAHC as they are enticed to join as a member or a life time/trophy member!
Sunday, August 18, 2013 8:43 AM
Speaking of point problems; anyone else have a problem with points suddenly disappearing??? I was carrying 69 points (Level 3 Tester) for over a month; and yesterday when I logged in, I was down to 44 points and all the Level 3 stuff I had signed up to test was wiped out!
I've officially tested three items on StuffStuff (plus a couple of others before StuffStuff took over) and I've been very diligent about writing reviews as well as "liking" manufacturers and products on Facebook. It took time and effort to get to 69 points; so losing 25 points is more than frustrating! I wrote to email@example.com, but my only response so far is the auto-reply stating they got my email.
Monday, August 19, 2013 1:22 AM
James; welcome to the real world! NRA wants more money for legislative action to fight the 2nd admendment in Wash. DC., NAHC wants us to buy products from their sponsors! Hype people like you and I into beleaveing we will test products or win one in a give away? Never seen one posted or a letter from someone who appreciated receiving one in my magazine. My expectations have been lowered to the point I will live long enough to receive my magazine for free and recoup my investment!!!!!!!!!

Nathan: Depending on the items you have on your dashboard, you can wait several months or a couple of weeks. You could potentially be selected within a week or two if you have the right products on your dashboard. Each product has a set number of applicants required, typically set by the manufacturer. When that number is reached, StuffStuff gets permission from the manufacturer to select testers from the applicants. There are typically more items available to send out of the lower priced items than the higher priced items, so applying for more of those greatly increases your odds of being selected sooner and more often.
Mike: You can spend as much or as little time as you want. When you signed up, the agreement basically stated "at least one test product per year", but most people are being selected for 2 to 3 items a year assuming they keep their dashboards full and have lower priced items on their dashboards.
Daniel: The points are not used to "purchase" products. The higher your points, the higher level products you can sign up to test. Once you get selected to test, they deduct the points for that product. After your post your report and review, you will get your points back, plus a few extras depending on the level of the product, any pictures, any sharing, and the quality of the review. Keep your dashboard full of 10 items if possible, and bear in mind that the lower priced items will typically give you more of a chance to be selected since they typically have more of those available to send out. Also, you don't have to spend 30 minutes every day on StuffStuff, that is just typically what I, as well as many others do. You can get to the points level you want to achieve, then check in maybe 10 to 15 minutes every week. Checking in every day or every couple of days just helps you make sure your dashboard stays full, and allows you to see items when they get added. The less often you log in, the more likely you are to "lose" items in the shuffle.
James: There is a possibility that you were selected to test a level 2 product(69-25=44), or there is a possibility that you had points removed for reviews that were taken off for some reason. Check your dashboard, as you may be simply waiting for a product to arrive.

Yep this is very helpful and so far I have tested my first product from Stuff Stuff a $199.99 Cabela's Platinum ZX Spinning Rod that I have caught some trout on since the day it came in the mail and I went to test it. Super light and smaller guides to help stay tangle free and adds to your cast. I jumped up to Level 6 pretty fast also once I figured out how to get points going and still got them adding up. My dad and I have been Life Members since 2010 and have tested a few items through the years and I got to say I'm very glad we joined the Fishing club and Thankful for Stuff Stuff. You guys and gals do a great job and thank you. And Thank you Tim Brown for your help also and nice first buck.
Tuesday, August 20, 2013 4:35 PM
Tim; I made a misprint, I DO NOT expect to evaluate a $1000.00 range finder the 1st time out. Also, new terminology, what is my dashboard?
Wednesday, August 21, 2013 12:19 AM
Daniel: When you are logged in, in the upper right hand corner of your screen is a drop down menu. It will have your user name/nickname and your points total. Hover over the arrow and click on "Your Account Dashboard". That will show all the items you are currently signed up to test(if any), any items you are currently testing, and any items you have previously tested. Also, there are interest surveys to fill out that give you additional points if you have not already done them. I believe it is 5 points per survey, currently 1 for each club, so Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, Handyman, Cooking, and Golf. Also, once those are filled out, you become eligible to test that category's products. That is up to an extra 30 points. And just to clarify, you can be selected to test a $1000.00 range finder for your first product, if they ever put one on the site, you just have to pick it and be patient. It could be yours. My first product was a $500 rifle scope. They have to pick someone for these products, why not you? All I am saying is, if you only want higher priced items, it may take you longer to get a product, but in my opinion, it is well worth the wait! Wait on and I hope you get picked for that rangefinder soon! :) Also, you can have up to 10 items on your dashboard. Those items are the only ones you will be selected to test, so we all recommend keeping 10 on there, even if they are all higher priced items.

I've evaluated 3 items, the Euro Scope being one of them also. I agree, obtaining the points for a level six is very accomplish able. It does seem however to be a long wait between being selected for one and then the next. Especially, as I am very serious about these evaluations.
I teach wilderness survival on line and in person and any thing I evaluate I also share with my students. On line I have over 9100 followers or members of my site. I feel I have an advantage living in a prime hunting and fishing area, with five blue ribbon trout rivers withing an hours drive from me and being an avid fly fisherman. But also I'm in a prime hunting area, with antelope, mule dear, white tail dear, elk, moose, bear (both black and Grizzly), bighorn sheep, mountain goat and buffalo just to name the major ones. However, drawing tags for some can be difficult. Though I take advantage of as many seasons as I can, as I bow hunt, black powder hunt and rifle hunt.
Being retired from the everyday grind, I spend my time in the woods packing (mules and horses) either fishing or hunting one way or the other and at home sharing knowledge I've gained doing so. I find stuff stuff as an excellent avenue to trying new equipment for the many interests I have.
Sunday, September 15, 2013 4:03 PM
I have been a member of Stuff Stuff since it started, and have been chosen to test 3 items so far. THANKS! The Viice Alert works great, and I have it hooked up and use it constantly at my home. I tested the Vanguard Pro T40 tripod, and bagged my deer with it last season and will use it again this year. I am also testing the Euro 3-9X42 scope and will use it for the first time in a few days for deer. Hang in there folks, testing is fun, and you will get your chance. It takes time, but keep active and enjoy! I have, and I do.
Monday, September 16, 2013 9:13 AM
Thanks alot! thanks to this i got 100 points within a day :D great info!
Thursday, September 26, 2013 10:13 AM

Thursday, September 26, 2013 6:02 PM
What Michell said. Possibly you were selected to test a product, which will cause a deduction in points, but not 45. Level 1 are 10, level 2 are 25, and level 3 are 50...
Tuesday, October 01, 2013 10:43 AM
i was wandering about the products for testing . it seams that the points are 10 -25 then they jump to 100 . yes there are a couple of 50 pointers but the good stuff to test is 100 points or more . i read your blog on getting items to test and how many you got in a fairly short time . ive also have heard the same from others . ive tested 3 items since stuff stuff began and they only seam to be low point items . you say how easy it is to climb in pionts but i find that isnt true . ronl

Ron: If you are willing to put some time in, "like" products from their product page, "tweet" about them from their product page, and write reviews for items you have personally used and you will get 1 point for each activity for each product. So, in order to get to the 100 to 200 point range, at 2 points per product, you have to like and tweet about 50-100 products. If you look at all items, not just those available for testing, you should be able to find more than 100 items that you have some interest in, and at 2 points each (plus the occasional review), you can get the points for a level 6 tester status in a few days to a week. Also, the "short" amount of time you refer to was from July 2012 to June 2013, so it took a year to be selected those times. Also, when I joined StuffStuff, it was within the first few days of them coming online and there were very few members with quite a good selection of items. Another key point is that I was willing to wait in order to get a few of the higher priced items, so it took 7 months to get my last product. If you were selected 3 times in under a year, then you had fairly good luck. If they were lower priced items and you are upset about that, don't put them on your dashboard. I know I didn't have them on my dashboard, or I would have been selected more often probably. Some people had 5 or 6 items within the first 4 months of StuffStuff's inception, whereas I had 2. Bear in mind, there are several hundred thousand members on StuffStuff currently, so if you want to wait for larger, higher priced items, the wait is only getting longer. If you want more items, expect to receive lower priced items. That is the beauty of StuffStuff: if I don't want it, I don't sign up for it, and I don't get picked to test it. I personally encourage you to wait for a higher priced item, but that means not putting many if any of the lower priced items on there to increase your chances. I hope this helps and I hope you get selected for something good very soon. :)
Wednesday, October 16, 2013 7:41 PM
third test already this year love stuff stuff
Thursday, October 17, 2013 2:22 PM
3 test in a year. levels 2, 3, 3, $240 of gear I didn't have to buy. Sure I want a crossbow, or compound, or a pressure washer. But I wont fill my dashboard with level 6 items and get irritated that someone else is testing more than me. If you're going to be greedy you're going to be waiting. The blogs even say to pick items from all levels to increase chances of a test.
On the hole this site is great, better than the old NAHC testing system.
Thanks for the oppurtunities and gear
Tuesday, October 29, 2013 12:42 PM

Wednesday, October 30, 2013 5:37 PM
Robert: If you have received a product in the mail from StuffStuff, but on your dashboard it still says being fulfilled, contact them at email@example.com. Sometimes the manufacturer forgets to notify StuffStuff that the item was shipped.

I wish you would come up with other ways to earn more points besides facebook or twitter. I don't use social media networks. don't have time, too busy fishing. I would also like to see other ways to enter some of your other contests.
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 11:58 AM
When we were able to test stuff through north American hunting club i was able to test stuff quite often, now that stuff stuff took over not able to earn more than 53 points. I can use a computer but as easy as it is for people to steal your identity, i dont trust facebook twitter or stuff like that. So with out how do u earn points
Thursday, November 14, 2013 7:28 AM
Brett:You can get points by completing the interest questionaires for products that you would like to test in the other categories. If you belong to more than one club, you get can points for that also.If you have used any of the products and write a review that is accepted that will get you 1 point also.I hope this helps.

when I go sqeek hunting this month.Your feet and hands get cold when seating on my shooting
