It may be just me, but when a woman is packing a machete and has an all-business look on her face (see photo), I tend to pay attention to what she says. That woman is StuffStuff star Michelle Kulis from Aurora, New York.
As you might imagine, Michelle is pretty serious about StuffStuff matters. Having been a Trophy Member of the North American Hunting Club, a Life Member of the National Home Gardening Club and a Member of the North American Fishing Club, she registered last July, shortly after StuffStuff opened for business. “I joined all three clubs because I wanted to gain more knowledge and be better at what I love to do,” says Michelle.
Michelle was active in the old product-testing program, but she’s “excited” with StuffStuff, especially that she can choose the products — up to 10 at once — to apply to test and work her way up to Level 6. Michelle checks the site regularly for new products; she prefers to apply for the lower-level products because there are more units available for testing compared with Level 6.
Michelle makes sure her interest questionnaires reflect her current level of activity in hunting, fishing and gardening. She likes Trivia Tuesday and likes reading reviews of other StuffStuff members. Michelle asks that testers take seriously the process of writing reviews. “I live in a small town and may never be able to go to the store and see the product live,” she says. “But if I can read and rely on tester reviews, then I may buy it.” In fact, she purchased the ThermaCELL Heated Insoles based upon reviews, even though she was not a tester.
So far, Michelle has tested four products:
Her advice: “Be patient,” she says. “We do not get everything we want. And don’t just apply for the high-end products. You may not get them, and then you’ve put all you time and effort into just those products.”
