We recently had a stellar day at StuffStuff. Two Gardening StuffStuff stars, Sara Johnson and Don Mack, visited our humble headquarters here in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and enjoyed a lively audience with Kathy Childers, the Duchess of Digging Dirt and Executive Director of the National Home Gardening Club.
Three things we must reveal about this video covering our historic little meeting:
Enjoy the video -- and when you’re in the StuffStuff neighborhood, drop by and say hi!
- 1. It’s a treat to actually meet members. These were the first members to visit since StuffStuff started last year, and it was a big event in the office. Normally, we keep our nose to the screen and do our StuffStuff business in the virtual world, but shaking hands with Sara and Don reminded us that we deal daily with real people. We provide good products (for free) and good times, and they provide valuable feedback and aren’t shy about showing their thanks.
- 2. Sara and Don shared three tips on how to be selected to test products (e.g., apply in more than one category). Newbies can also learn from Sara and Don that StuffStuff is easy to join and easy to use.
- 3. Finally, Kathy is not really a duchess. She’s a favorite in the office because of her gardening knowledge, spirit and sneaky sense of humor. We kid each other (she’s two doors down) and, sure, she has a regal air about her and certain expectations of her Worthy Go-fer. But I’ll say this: Kathy has yet to shout for me to retrieve her printouts from the copying machine. That speaks volumes.
